Keats made his Ode To Autumn famous, so I'll have to come up with something of my own. It will have to be my Haiku to Autumn, to celebrate the beauty of these idyllic pastoral scenes of Emerald Lake Park.
rustle of yellow
look up and marvel the crown
jewels of autumn
autumn's golden reign
brilliant burst of verdant hues
swift fall of Fall's glow
a sigh is each heard
as they breakaway, depart
bare twigs grief, forlorn
tears shed in envy
of rivals evergreen
lush even in mirrored lake
unbeknownst to them
the beauty of fallen leaves
sacro-idyllic
emerald lake ripples
chill breezes caress
with nippy fingers
swaying trunks defy
boldly flaunting their beauty
in their matchless prime
pastoral pleasures
quiet walks on country lanes
embroidered with leaves
textures contrasting
lichen-dabbed logs complement
feathery foliage
kookaburra sings
song of joy for meadows green
in pastures verdant

These are certainly beautiful colors, and when placed in one frame together like that 4th to the last one, it is really wonderful. I am sure you have a good time!
ReplyDeleteGlad that you appreciate the beauty, Andrea. Yes, it was a lovely feeling capturing Nature, and an even better feeling sharing these shots with you.
DeleteGorgeous photos and words although I am far from ready to contemplate Autumn here, summer is still young!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lindy. Enjoy your summer!
DeleteThank you for the foreshowing. I first wondered if the first image was recent given all the leaf drop around here. I'm agree with LLM but thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteAll the photos were taken in mid-May, Patrick. LLM is in the northern hemisphere, so autumn is still a long wait! Thanks for visiting.
DeleteLovely autumn pictures. We don't get many autumn colors where I live.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos of NZ, Betty.
